Figure it Out

I stayed home from work today because I was feeling stuffy. I thought I was getting sick but I felt better as the night went on. I'm glad I did though because I've got things I need to do. Oh, the holes, the lists. These nouns are verbing. I always want to skip months.

I'm in love with this song, but that's not all that uncommon, so only time will tell if it's as good as I think or not. It needs different lyrics for the second verse, and maybe the second chorus. Also, I might add a nice break in the middle. I actually just feel good about this song because it was a good example of how I make music, and it went mostly well. I sat down at the piano and wrote it, then came home and did a basic rythmic piano (just like I played) and recorded the vocals before my brother got home. Then I fleshed out the song and I went over instruments and textures and rythms so many times, and it wasn't mindless. More like this, pls.
